Ravens' Tales

Bringing Myths to life

About

 Ravens'Tales

At Ravens' Tales, I am focused on providing storytelling with the highest levels of professionalism and customer satisfaction, and I will do everything I can to meet your expectations. With a variety of offerings to choose from, I'm sure you'll be happy working with Ravens' Tales.

I have been telling stories to adults and to children for over 15 years, at schools, libraries, events and societies, and am DBS (formerly CRB) checked with enhanced disclosure.

I am used to working with adult groups in both formal and informal settings, such as spiritual development groups, reminiscence groups for older people, and local community and faith groups.

I have worked in schools and colleges, youth groups, and at family events, and I also have over 35 years' classroom teaching experience, over KS2 - 5.

You can rely on me for a completely professional performance, with a wide range of stories, adapted to audience in terms of time, style, level of language, and format.

I give the myths and legends true historical context, placing them at the heart of their cultures and belief systems. This means that I can answer the more unusual questions which sometimes come up, ("why didn't Tyr just grow his missing hand back, if he's a god?") with knowledge and confidence.

Special times and places often have their own traditional types of stories  in our culture, too, and I can visit as a Victorian for Christmas time treats, or as "The Mysterious Stranger" for Hallowe'en frights and fancies, all specifically for your audience. For example, I  researched a number of old, nautical ghost stories for a seaside event!
